Our county parks are amazing! This one is one of our favs, but each have paved walking/bike paths, marsh boardwalks, a dog park, a water park, open fields for sports, picnic tables, kayak launch areas, and unique views! Please note, county park entrance costs $2 per person.
Now this one is for guests who are up for a little more of an adventure. It’s just over an hour from downtown Charleston and you have do a bit of “off-roading”, but it is one of our favorite places in SC! You drive down a dirt road with Spanish Moss covered oak trees lining the drive, catch a glimpse of the wildlife, and can stop at multiple walking paths or the deadwood tree beach. If you’re planning to go to the beach, be sure you go when the tide is lower!
Check out one of the places where The Notebook was filmed! You can canoe in the swamp like Noah and Allie, walk the paths lined with beautiful blooming flowers, visit the butterfly conservatory, or see a massive gator in the Swamparium! Please note, entrance to Cypress Gardens is $10 per person.
Our favorite restaurant in downtown Charleston; we bring all of our guests here! They have a main dining area, a whiskey lounge, and a rooftop bar! Ask what specials they have; they’re always great! Average prices range between $15 and $20.
Good ol' Southern BBQ with outdoor and indoor seating! Meats are priced per pound (avg. $20) and sandwiches average $12. We recommend ordering multiple different meats at 1/4 or 1/8 of a pound and adding a side of mac & cheese!
Vickery's for food on the top floor and Muddy's outdoor bar with sand floors on the bottom; views overlooking the marsh at Shem Creek! A great place for southern cuisine, seafood, burgers, and sandwiches. Average price per meal is between $15 and $20.
Seafood, BBQ, burgers, and a great cocktail menu! This restaurant is right on the mash and has a beautiful view, especially at sunset. Later in the evenings on Fridays and Saturdays are packed and rowdy, often with live music! Average price per meal ranges between $15 and $20.
Fine dining with a view! Watch the dolphins swim in the marsh while enjoying filet, lamb chops, or lobster and grits. They also have a great Sunday brunch menu with mimosas! Average prices range between $25 and $50 per meal for dinner and $15 per meal for brunch.
Great place for some Mexican food! There is also cool location close to the beach on Sullivan’s Island. Try their Bangin’ Shrimp Tacos and Passion Fruit Frozen Margarita! Average price per meal is between $10 and $15.
