It all started back in 2022…I think I had just moved to La Crosse and started a new job, and Kenzie was in her third year at Viterbo University. A couple of weeks into the job, I became close with a co-worker (Ryan) who eventually introduced me to her. We started talking on the phone, and before we knew it, we decided to go on our first date. Where was our first date? Sushi. Which Kenzie hated at the time…We talked about everything from family, tequila, favorite travel spots, work, and so much more. By the end of the night, I knew something special had started. From that day on, being together quickly became our favorite place to be. It turned into weekend adventures, dinner dates, and spending every bit of free time together. I realized pretty quickly that I hadn’t just found a girlfriend, I had found my best friend. Over the years, we’ve grown side by side, cheering each other on through new jobs, graduations, big moves, unexpected challenges, and unforgettable milestones. We’ve learned to cherish the little things —morning coffee runs, dog walks, and our endless inside jokes. Our shared love for travel, friends, food, golf, the outdoors, and always planning the next thing keeps life exciting. We’re constantly on the move, always looking forward to the next adventure together. The proposal was perfectly “us” — last-minute, spontaneous, and definitely out of budget. With all this being said, IT WAS CLEARLY RYAN who started this love story…. Now, I can’t wait to celebrate this next chapter with all of you, the people who mean the most to us. Thank you for being part of our story. We’re so excited to gather, dance, laugh, and start this new adventure surrounded by so much love.
First of all…let’s rewind. Paige was driving her boyfriend, Ryan, to work one day when she spotted this cute boy getting out of his red truck. Being the brilliant friend she is, she immediately decided he looked like my type. Naturally, she asked Ryan who that was and why she had never heard of him. Ryan told her it was Chase and that they worked together. Paige, thinking ahead, told Ryan he should probably let Chase know he had a single friend with very similar interests. (I’m pretty sure they were ready to stop me from being their chronic third wheel). Fast forward to one spring afternoon in La Crosse. Paige and I were on one of our daily walks, something we did all the time in college, when she started telling me about this guy. Weeks later, Chase followed me on social media and eventually sent me a text. We started talking…and honestly, we haven’t really stopped since. We quickly realized we had just about everything in common from food, traveling, hunting, family, home projects, boating…the list goes on. We have SO much fun together! A couple years later, we moved from La Crosse to Waukesha, renovated our little home, got a dog, Costa (our four-legged bestie), Chase proposed mountainside in Park City, Utah — and now here we are! Since we met, we pretty much haven’t sat still; we are always either planning our next adventure or starting a new project. That’s us in a nutshell and we love it that way! Soooo long story short, IT WAS OBVIOUSLY PAIGE who set all this up… And for that, I’ll forever be grateful. 🤍
