Maid of Honor
My sister is the Maid of Honor, so no "how we met" needed! Our relationship has evolved from me ordering Zoe around playing "house" and choregraphing dance routines in our basement together to bonding over the Drag Race franchise and swapping stories and advice as we navigate graduate school and career changes simultaneously. There's no one I'd rather have by my side, fluffing my train and passing me tissues, on the big day.
Best Man
That is my little brother Grant. He's in the red if you couldn't tell, unfortunately this is a rare photo where I am taller than him. Since then, we've grown together, competed against one another, and been there for each other. For example, Grant, all in the same day, woke up at 7AM, drove 5 hours across Pennsylvania and helped Casey and I move all of our belongings up four flights of stairs. I don't think he complained even once.
Bridesmaid
Alex and I admittedly did not like each other in middle school, but when we joined color guard together in high school, we became fast friends, who then serendipitously followed each other from Newtown to Pittsburgh to Philadelphia. We bond over true crime, the Philadelphia happy hour scene, our problem cats, and Taylor Swift.
Groomsman
When he's not biking 100+ miles in a week, welding a rocket stove, or racing his car, he's making wedding rings! Aaron was someone I was fortunate enough to meet early in 2022, and since then we've gone on camping and biking adventures and battled local soccer teams in South Philly.
Bridesmaid
Hannah and I met in class sophomore year at Pitt, and we'd often hang out at ultimate frisbee parties at then-boyfriend, now-husband's (who is also in the wedding party!) house. We love exploring places within and beyond the city together. Preston and I had the best time participating in Hannah and Matt's wedding in October 2023, and we can't wait to spend another wedding in their company.
Groomsman
Matt and I became fast friends during college after he explained the rules to a game he invented called "Turbo." Always an excellent source of games and entertainment, Matt is someone who is always fun to be around, whether that be in Pittsburgh, Philly, Atlantic City, or Tennessee.
Bridesmaid
Lauren and I met each other in our freshman dorm's common area, and we proceeded to live together for all of college. While Lauren now lives in London with her husband, I pine for the simpler days of Pitt football games, South O house parties, and exploring the first city we each loved together.
Groomsman
Max was one of the first people I met my freshman year at the University of Pittsburgh. Always willing to go on an adventure, whether that was trying out a little known food spot on campus or late night or weekend hikes in Ohiopyle, Max and I became fast friends, and nine years later, he is someone that I'm excited have next to me on my big day.
Groomsman
Bobby and I met freshman year in college through watching "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" and Wes Anderson movies. Capable of throwing a tight spiral on any given Saturday or Sunday and having excellent music recommendations for any occasion, Bobby is someone I love to hang out with, whether that's in the parking lot of the Linc or in a South Oakland basement.
