Before you head up to Rockford, spend some time in The Greatest City in the World (TM). It's hard to beat during the summer. There are great restaurants, activities, and the lakefront is lovely.

Lake Geneva is one of our favorite day trips from Chicago! It's about an hour's drive from the Rockford area. The lake and charming accompanying town feature activities like hiking, boating, dining, and shopping.

Everyone's seen the classic movie (or more recent TV series) A League of Their Own. Spend some time at the Midway Village Museum to learn about the history of Rockford, including the Rockford Peaches!
