Wedding Party

Meet our family and friends who will be walking down the isle with us.

Herbert Saunders

Officiant

Herbert (also known as Gramps) is the grandfather of Kailey. He currently lives in Georgia with Heidi and Brian. We are pretty sure that Dad Jokes were invented by him as he is always the first to crack a joke. One of his favorite jokes is telling people how many women he has married (Ya know, in his career as a pastor). Something interesting to note is that he has officiated the wedding for all of his children and grandchildren thus far. We are so honored and blessed to have him as our officiant.

Brian Saunders

Father of the Bride

The biggest fan of StarWars known to man (no seriously, ask to see pictures of his StarWars room), and a big DIY’er. There was never a time, that Kailey can remember, where there wasn't a house project being done or music being played. Brian over the years has gotten into 3D printing, using the cricket to monogram all of the things, and recording music. He is truly a jack of all trades. Brian is married to Heidi and they celebrate their 35th wedding anniversary in July of 2022.

Heidi Saunders

Mother of the Bride

If you are ever looking for Heidi usually you can find her because of how loud she is. She isn't afraid to embarrass herself or others around her and is ALWAYS down to have a good time. Heidi is a DIY’er just like her husband and not only works on her own house but all of her neighbors as well. No house is safe around Heidi. Heidi is married to Brian and they are celebrating 35 years of marriage this year. If you want to make Heidi's day buy her a martini. Just make sure its straight up, very dirty (FILTHY) and bonus points for adding blue cheese stuffed olives.

Chris Schultz

Father of the Groom

Chris Schultz or as his immediate family calls him, The Mayor, can usually be found striking up a conversation with anyone and everyone. He's a lover of all sports and has coached all of his kids throughout their youth in basketball. Basketball isn't the only sport he's coached from football, to volleyball, to tennis, he's coached it all. Casey's passion for sports has stemmed directly from spending countless hours in the gym or on the field with his dad growing up. Chris and his wife Sue will be celebrating their 31st wedding anniversary in July of 2022. Honestly, you wont need to strike up a conversation with Chris, he’ll come to you.

Sue Schultz

Mother of the Groom

Susie, otherwise known as Snoozy, never turns down the opportunity for a good nap. That doesn't mean she's not the life of the party. You'll definitely find her dancing the night away whenever theres a dance floor and this wedding will be no exception. A lover of crafting and creativity, there was never a time in Casey's life that Susie turned down the opportunity to help with school projects. Susie and her husband Chris will be celebrating their 31st wedding anniversary in July of 2022. To strike up a conversation with Sue ask her about latest craft project.

Brooke Saunders

Bridesmaid

Brooke is a sister-in-law to the bride. She is married to Nick and the two of them bought a house in the Madison area last year. Kailey and Brooke lived together Kailey's freshman year of college where they shared many walks to class, conversations about boys and a couple arguments about Kailey leaving her dirty dishes out. Brooke worked at Nike with Casey and Kailey early on in their Nike careers and shared a few college nights out with Casey as well. One of Brooke's favorite things ever would be tacos. So if you want to get Brooke's attention, without fail, a plate of tacos will do it.

Kristen Saunders

Bridesmaid

Kristen is the sister-in-law of the bride. She is married to Aaron and the two of them bought their first house in the Madison area back in 2020. Kristen is from Seattle, Washington and is a HUGE Seahawks fan. Kailey and Kristen have shared some very memorable nights in Arizona playing cards and at weddings with wardrobe malfunctions. To strike up a conversation with Kristen you can talk negatively about the Green Bay Packers or talk highly of head coach Matt LaFleur. Or if football isn't your thing ask her about her dog Finn, thats always a safe bet.

Lydia Schultz

Bridesmaid

Lydia is the youngest sister of the groom. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin- Lacrosse in December of 2020 and is currently working for Epic as a project manager. Growing up, one of Casey's favorite games to play with Lydia in the winter, was tackle football. The verdict is still out on if it was Lydia's favorite game to play so maybe we can all figure that out over the night. Lydia has ALWAYS wanted a pet pig, so if anyone knows of a good place to get one, or better yet has one they are looking for a new home for, Lydia is your gal.

Maren Schultz

Bridesmaid

Maren (Mar-en not Mare-en) is one of younger sisters of the groom. She has always been a go-getter and is currently in PA school the University of Charleston-West Virginia . Although she is two years younger than Casey, the two did practically everything together growing up. Maren can find the competition is just about everything, especially card and board games. Shes also a killer dancer and will for sure be busting a move on the dance floor. Be sure to ask her about her time as a Wisconsin Badger athlete on the rowing team.

Cortney Zehren

Bridesmaid

Cortney is friends with both the bride and groom as the three of them worked together at Nike for a few years. Kailey and Cortney's friendship took a couple years from their rocky first interaction, until the first time they hung out. From then on, Cortney and Kailey shared countless nights of watching Hawaii 5.0, drinking Mountain Dew and forcing each other to do homework, all while keeping her two year old daughter, Olivia, entertained. A few years later, in 2019, Cortney asked Kailey to be the godmother of her second child, Allen. The last few summers Cortney and Kailey have went to Casey's softball games to cheer him on from the sidelines but mostly to embarrass him. To strike up a conversation with Cortney ask her about Euchre rules. Better yet, ask her to play.

Aaron Saunders

Groomsman

Aaron is one of the brothers of the bride. Aaron is nine years older than Kailey and as kids Aaron would give Sharpie "tattoos" to Kailey. One of the most memorable "tattoos" was a rather large clown face that filled Kailey's entire back. I guess all of those "tattoo" sessions paid off as Aaron is now a professional tattooer in the Madison area. He is married to Kristen and the two of them bought a house, in the Madison area, in 2020. Kailey has since upgraded from Sharpie "tattoos" to the real deal from Aaron, leaving Casey as the only immediate member of the Saunders family remaining to be tattooed by him. If you want to strike up a conversation with Aaron ask him about his recent ownership of the Green Bay Packers, or you can ask him about tattoos if thats up your alley.

Nicholas Saunders

Groomsman

Nick is one of the brothers of the bride and the one responsible for a couple of Kailey's broken bones. He is equally, however, responsible for connecting Casey and Kailey. Nick and Casey were co-workers at Nike Johnson Creek back in 2014 and shared a couple fun college nights out. Later that same year, Nick encouraged Kailey to work at Nike, where then Casey and Kailey met. Nick is married to Brooke and the two of them bought a house in the Madison area this last year. If you want to strike up a conversation with Nick, ask him about his IronMan which he will be doing September 11, 2022.

Alex Beszhak

Groomsman

Alex Beszhak (Besh) is a childhood friend of Caseys. The two met playing youth football together when they were in middle school. One of Caseys' favorite memories with Besh and usher, Ben, is when the three of them went up north to Casey's family cottage. While tubing Besh had his nose broken from Ben's shin. They can laugh about it now, but at the time it was not a fun moment. Alex and his wife Julia currently live across the pond in London. If you want to strike up a conversation with Besh ask him about some of his recent cycling rides or talk to him about how to bake the perfect loaf of bread.

Matthew Busalacchi

Groomsman

Matt (or Boosh) as all of his friends call him, is one of Casey's best friends from college. The two met on freshman move in day at UW-Madison as they were placed in rooms across the hall from each other. Matt is a pharmacist out in California, where he and his girlfriend Mariah and their dog Milo live. Matt and Casey have very meaningful conversations every single night while they play video games together. The Bromance is real. Being that he lives in Wine Country now, be sure to ask him about his favorite wines.

Tyler Wendt

Groomsman

Tyler is one of Casey's childhood friends. The two of them met as they attended the same church growing up. Over the years the two played baseball and basketball together all the way through high school. Casey and Tyler enjoyed playing frisbee golf together in their spare time. However, Casey still holds a grudge Tyler is the only person that has consistently beat him to this day. Tyler and his wife Amelia got married in November of 2020. If you are looking for a way to break the ice with Tyler ask him about his golf game.

Erik Lynch

Usher

Erik and Casey became friends while working at Coachman's Golf Resort throughout their high school and college years. Erik and Casey went from co-workers to close friends when they moved into an apartment together in Lake Mills a few years back. They currently both compete in a pretty serious fantasy football league. Erik and his wife Kira got married in July of 2021 and currently live in the Madison area. If you need any fantasy football advice, Erik is your guy.

Ben Posick

Usher

Ben and Casey met in little league baseball where Ben was more concerned about searching for small animals around the field than actually playing the sport. But regardless of Ben's initial lack of interest in the sport the two became great friends. Ben and Casey had some epic sleepovers together staying up far too late playing video games and consuming junk food and energy drinks over the years. Ben moved to Colorado where he currently works at a restaurant. Ask him about some of his favorite memories from out there!
