We met at the ripe ages of 16 (Kailey) and 20 (Casey). Casey had started working at Nike in August of 2014, and less than two months later Kailey was hired on as well. On one of Kailey’s first shifts some funny, stawberry blonde kid was working the fitting rooms (cough cough casey). Casey had made it a goal to see how many stickers he could put on another co-workers back without them noticing. Needless to say, it was not love at first sight. Over the next four and a half years we learned small things about each other like shoe sizes, favorite music, likes and dislikes, favorite lunch place and of course how to make each other laugh. Also during those years, we learned about each others passions, life stories, hardships, and how to communicate with each other well. But that was the extent of our relationship. Outside of work we occassionally ran into each other on campus between classes while waiting in the smoothie line but aside from that our relationship was strictly work based. In March of 2019, Kailey left Nike to pursue a career in childcare and upon leaving asked if Casey would like to get Taco Bell and he agreed. Who knew that a Baja Blast and a quesorito could hold so much power. We hung out quite a bit in the following weeks and decided to make it offical and see where things would go not even three weeks later. On one of our first dates we went to Lapham Peak State Park and just talked on a park bench in the snow. One of our favorite memories to date. From there things moved rather fast. We moved into our first apartment together in September of 2019 with Kailey’s cat Kola. Later that year we rescued our first dog, Lambeau. Then in 2020 the pandemic hit which brought us closer together and also brought us two more fur babies, Hazel and Brewer. On December 23, 2021 we went back to Lapham Peak for a day date where Casey popped the question. Which leads us to now, planning the best day of our lives and hoping you can be there too.
