A mutual friend of ours, Josh's hockey grandma and Casey's patient, got sick of listening to Josh's relationship woes at every Binghamton Senators and Devils game so she decided her chiropractor was just the one. After asking Casey if it was ok, she sent Josh her number and after a few painstaking days (or weeks depending on who you ask), Josh finally reached out and a first date (also depends on who you ask) of Reuben sandwiches and a beer happened. This kicked off adventure after adventure, from kayaking to snowmobiles to motorcycles!

If you know us, you know one of the first things we truly loved to do together was kayak. So we went kayaking on the Chenango River (our favorite spot to kayak) and we found a bald eagle on an island. Josh paddled to the island and Casey begrudgingly followed suit. When we got out on the island, we took a couple of quick pictures as the eagle flew off. On our way back to the kayaks, Josh stopped and asked for one more picture of us. While taking the picture, Josh began talking about his fondness for our adventures and then asked if we wanted to go on another, bigger adventure, dropped to his knee, and asked Casey to marry him. And now here we are!
