Palestinian Children's Relief Fund
Palestine Children's Relief Fund (PCRF), founded in 1991 by concerned humanitarians in the USA, provides free medical care to thousands of injured and ill children yearly who lack local access to care within the local health care system. Over the years, we've sent over 2,000 affected children abroad for free medical care, sent thousands of international doctors and nurses to provide tens of thousands of children free medical care in local hospitals, and provided tens of thousands of children humanitarian aid and support they otherwise would not get. PCRF's impact also includes establishing two pediatric cancer departments in Palestine, a new PICU and pediatric cardiology department in Ramallah, and many more critical projects to sustainably bolster the region's healthcare system. Our foundation relies on grassroots efforts, supported by a worldwide network of thousands of volunteers, to fulfill our humanitarian mission.
Medical Aid for Palestinians
Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP) works for a future where every Palestinian has access to a comprehensive, effective and locally-led system of healthcare, and the full realisation of their rights to health and dignity. To achieve this, we work in collaboration with Palestinian communities and trusted local partners to answer a wide range of health and social needs, from providing vital medical aid in emergencies, to supporting the development of better health services for the long term. We also uplift the voices of Palestinians, and campaign for an end to the barriers to health and dignity that come from living through occupation, displacement, discrimination and conflict.
Sunbula
A Jerusalem-based non-profit fair trade organization, Sunbula is a platform that empowers marginalized communities in Palestine through traditional artisanal crafts.
ANERA
Since 1968, Anera has helped refugees and others hurt by conflicts in Palestine, Lebanon and Jordan live with purpose and hope.
Tahrir Justice Center
The Tahirih Justice Center is a national, nonprofit that has served over 30,000 immigrant survivors fleeing gender-based violence since 1997. Our interdisciplinary, trauma-informed model of service is now delivered from five locations, and we’re committed to serving as many immigrant survivors as possible.
B'Tselem
B’Tselem – The Israeli Information Center for Human Rights in the Occupied Territories strives for a future in which human rights, liberty and equality are guaranteed to all people, Palestinian and Jewish alike, living between the Jordan River and the Mediterranean Sea. Such a future will only be possible when the Israeli occupation and apartheid regime end. That is the future we are working towards. B’Tselem (in Hebrew literally: in the image of), the name chosen for the organization by the late Member of Knesset Yossi Sarid, is an allusion to Genesis 1:27: “And God created humankind in His image. In the image of God did He create them.” The name expresses the universal and Jewish moral edict to respect and uphold the human rights of all people.
Adalah Justice Project
We are a U.S.-based organization led by Palestinian women and queer people from St. Louis, Orlando, New York City, and across the country. We believe our struggles are intertwined: we are fighting for the liberation of Palestinians and all oppressed communities, at home and abroad. Our values are rooted in the work of radical Black feminists, intersectionality, grassroots power, queer and trans liberation, and anti-imperialism, uniting us from Idlib to Ferguson to Gaza. We believe in a world free from racial capitalism, imperialism, and state violence where we invest in life instead of destruction. Join us in this vital struggle. Everyone has a role to play in creating a more just and liberated future where we can finally stop, breathe, and be joyous.
World Central Kitchen
Food has the power to be the nourishment and hope we need to pick ourselves back up in the darkest times. In 2010, Chef José Andrés, ready to use his culinary knowledge and talent to help, headed to Haiti following a devastating earthquake. Cooking alongside displaced families in a camp, he was guided on the proper way to cook black beans the way Haitians like to eat them: mashed and sieved into a creamy sauce. It wasn’t just about feeding people in need—it was about listening, learning, and cooking side by side with the people impacted by the crisis. This is the real meaning of comfort food, and it’s the core value that José, along with his wife Patricia, used at the center of founding World Central Kitchen.
Lifting Hands International
In January of 2016, LHI Founder & CEO Hayley Smith volunteered at a refugee camp on the Greek island of Lesvos. While helping one group of newly arrived refugees get into dry clothes after their perilous journey across the Aegean Sea by inflatable dinghy (like the one Hayley is standing in above), she found disorganized aid boxes of clothing for the wrong season, very few men's clothing items, and too many baby clothes. Just then, a lightbulb went off—Hayley knew there must be a better way! A few months later, she founded Lifting Hands International. Check out the slideshow below to learn more about LHI’s origin and history.
