Grant and Casey are tying the knot

Our wedding is a 3-day affair. Starting on Tuesday, March 16th. Those who want to spend those 3 days with us are welcome to join. The castle has rooms for everyone to stay, more details on rooms and payment will come closer to the day. On Tuesday, March 16th we will have a welcome event that will take place at Dunnottor Castle, one of our favorite castles. There will be a bus leaving Blairgowrie to first go to Dunnottor then on to Drumtochty. After the tour, everyone should start arriving at the castle around 2 pm, or later. Whoever is staying that night is welcome to come to the "welcome/rehearsal" dinner that is provided. Before dinner, you are free to explore the grounds and the castle. Just relax and settle in. On Wednesday, March 17th, the big day, you will be provided with baskets that contain everything you need to create a traditional Scottish Breakfast for each person staying. These will be prepared by yourselves at the kitchens in the wings, apartments, or cottages. If you prefer anything else for your breakfast please bring it with you. There will be coffee and tea provided as well, throughout your stay, at stations around the castle. Wednesday morning there is a chance for people to go clay pigeon shooting. If you would like to participate please reply to in the RSVP section of this website. The ceremony will start at 2 pm down at St. Pallidus church near the entrance to the castle, followed by a cocktail hour back at the castle. The reception dinner will start at 5 pm, followed by cake cutting, then dancing the night away. The castle is ours the entire night and the record for the longest party is 6 am! Can we beat that? I think so! Thursday, March 18th, breakfast will be provided just like the previous day. After breakfast, we must be checked out by 12pm. We will be providing a bus back to Blairgowrie.

This way Grant and I both know when everyone is coming in to book buses and transportation. Also, this allows you to see when others are flying and what flight they are on, so you could book the same or similar. I was heading off to Scotland and my Mom says to me don't bring home a boy. Well, Mom, you jinxed it. My friends and I stopped in for our first experience at a real Scottish pub and there he was. I met Grant and my life hasn't been the same. What a great, memorable and lasting time. We spoke for a year before we started to travel back and forth to see each other. Social media kept us sane and the relationship kindled. Now four years later here we are ENGAGED!

We took a family trip to one of my favorite places, Lost River State Park and Grant was able to go. This year instead of riding horses up to the top of this huge mountain like every year we decided to hike. We took breaks and stopped to catch our breath. It was a long way up, but Grant did not stop moving. I thought it was unusual that he didn't take a break, or stop to talk or walk with me. At the top of that mountain, my life changed. He got down on one knee on jagged rocks, on the edge of the cliff and asked for my hand in marriage. He said to me you were either going to say yes or throw me off the side. I knew then my life was complete.
