Enjoy short hikes to Blackwater Falls and many other trails within the park, or just spend a relaxing weekend in nature. We've added a link to the park map, which has descriptions and distances for each trail. There’s also a nature center, disc golf course, and paddle boat rental within the park. Check it out, there's something for everyone!
Depending on your route, you may very well drive right through this vibrant little gem of a town that’s only 10 minutes from the park. There’s an entire strip of shops including but not limited to an art studio/exhibit, coffee shop, restaurant, antique shop, ice cream shop, and gift shop. There were all kinds of locally made artisan goods - beer, wine, hemp products, foods, chocolate, soaps, art, candles, ground coffee, etc. It’s definitely worth a visit!
You may very well also pass a sign stating “Smallest Church in 48 States” where a church fitting that description is open to the public. If roadside records are your thing, this would be a neat stop. It’s located only about 20 minutes from the park.
