Wait, so what happened with the boat?

Answer

Ok, so literally two and a half weeks before the wedding, the Pride of the Hudson called us up saying they lost their dock and could not be certified in time by the Coast Guard because of construction on the Newburgh waterfront. Why they did not know the city was building or didn't check in on their dock site sooner is honestly still a mystery to us. Evander thinks it's far more fun to tell people it sunk.

HAHAHAHA yes? We think? Inshallah we will pull this off. That said, if anyone wants to offer a favor or help set up the venue with us on Friday before the Pre-Wedding celebration, please let me know.

What about the pre/post-parties?

Answer

The pre-wedding celebration is still on @ Wither’s Mansion (Friday 5/8) from 6-10pm. The post-wedding picnic has been cancelled (Sunday 5/10). We’ll now be using that time to pack up at the venue and close out what has become a somewhat more hands-on production than expected.

Will there still be food and drink?

Answer

Yes, we will be providing wine, beer, cider, and soft drinks all evening, as well as an ~expanded~ menu of modern mediterranean bites and wood-fired pizza throughout the evening.

What does "fluvial" mean?

Answer

Merriam-Webster defines fluvial as "of, relating to, or living in a stream or river." Our ceremony shall be held beside one of the great rivers of the Earth, as flows our spirits into the sea of the cosmos.

Is this a safe space?

Answer

Yes. We will foster a welcoming atmosphere for all. Challengers to this philosophy will be (metaphorically) thrown overboard and/or immediately removed from the party.

Should I bring a wedding gift?

Answer

Please no things. We would prefer for you donate to our listed charities, or an organization of your choice on our behalf. We've also started a honeymoon fund for our travels in North Africa and the Southern Mediterranean in 2027. Thank you in advance!

Mount Gulian is on the National Register of Historic Places and we’ll be surrounded by 250 year old timber and priceless artifacts. Please reserve tomfoolery to the meadows, and dress warmly and comfortably for the occasion!!
