FAQs

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

Yes,. Yes. PICK UP: At the Kinney Hotel. First bus 3pm, final/second bus: 3:30pm. We have arranged transportation to and from the hotel, but you are also welcome to leave your car overnight at the venue and pick it up the next morning. If you plan on drinking, do NOT plan on driving. Uber and Lyft also operate in San Luis Obispo area.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Ceremony begins at 4pm. Please plan to arrive early as you will be driven into the Venue space from the parking lot area. Refreshments will also be available while waiting for the Ceremony to begin.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Cocktail Attire. We will be outside on natural dirt most of the time. Please pick your shoes appropriately.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Due to the open space nature of the venue, we recommend that if you are able to secure a sitter and leave the kiddos at home that would be best. We are not opposed to children being present on our special day, but be very prepared to keep an extra close eye on them at all times.

Question

Why San Luis Obispo? Does it hold any significance?

Answer

No, none at all actually! We were at a friend's wedding (Trent who is now Casey's groomsman, and his wife Hilary). Christine was bored while Casey was off doing groomsman duties for Trent, so she started to search for venues and begin the wedding planning journey. La Cuesta Ranch checked all our boxes, and we both liked the idea of a semi-destination wedding. We are looking forward to making memories in this quaint town with our loved ones, and returning to celebrate our anniversary for years to come.

Question

What about COVID precautions?

Answer

The good news is the entire event is outdoors. There is a large barn which will be our dance floor, however there are large doors that will be kept open to allow for constant air flow. The vendors/food staff will be wearing masks. We also know that a majority of our guests are vaccinated. If you have concerns, please feel free to reach out to Casey or Christine directly. While we hope for the very best by July 2022, we know that when it comes to COVID anything can happen. We respect all of our friends and family and there will be zero hard feelings if you decide it would be best to stay home for health and safety reasons.
