Housing Rentals

Because housing on Daufuskie Island—and especially within Haig Point—is limited, please do not book accommodations through Airbnb. Haig Point homes are not listed on Airbnb and must be reserved through a separate process. When you’re ready to book, email us at bmcmdd@gmail.com for instructions. Most homes are three- to four-bedroom units, with a few single-bedroom options available. If you’d like to coordinate with friends to share a house, feel free to discuss those details ahead of time, then reach out to us so we can match you with a home that fits your group. This process helps us make the most of the available housing and ensures that everyone has a great place to stay!

Best to avoid flights departing SAV earlier than 10:00 am, as the first ferry leaves Daufuskie at 6:30 am.

Ferry Schedule

Casey’s favorite part—the ferry ride from Hilton Head to Daufuskie! Haig Point ferries cross the Calibogue Sound hourly between Hilton Head and Daufuskie. If the weather’s fair, grab a seat up top and watch for dolphins—it should be a great time to spot them! A ferry departs Hilton Head for Daufuskie from the Haig Point Embarkation Center (10 Haig Point Court) hourly, from 6:30 am to 10:30 pm leaving at half past each hour, 6:30, 7:30, 8:30, etc. You will need to arrive early (at least 15 minutes before departure), drop off your bags with the valets, and pick up your ferry passes and housing information in the welcome center before boarding the ferry to the island. The valets will load your bags onto the boat and transport to the island where you will pick them up at the valet station after getting your golf cart behind the Strachan mansion. From Daufuskie to Hilton Head, the ferry leaves Haig Point Landing hourly, starting at 6:30 am, with all subsequent runs at 40 past the hour (e.g., 7:40 am) until the last at 10:40 pm. Special transportation via water taxi from Harbor Town can be arranged if your flight or travel plans do not align with these specific travel times. Please reach out if you have any questions!
