It all began on Daufuskie Island—yes, the very place where we’ll be saying “I do.” In October of 2021, we both found ourselves there for a wedding: Blaine had come solo, and I was a bridesmaid in my brother Zac and sister-in-law Clare’s wedding. We officially met on Thursday night, just as the weekend kicked off with a champagne saber celebration… and a rogue cork that left me with a cut on my leg (don’t worry, I was fine—and now it makes for a great story). Blaine came over to check on me, and from that moment on, we hit it off. We spent the entire weekend together, soaking in the magic of the island. After the wedding, I went back to Charleston and Blaine returned to Oklahoma City, but we stayed in touch—and then some. We dated long-distance, traveling back and forth between Charleston and OKC and savoring every long weekend we could get. Eventually, I realized the weekends weren’t long enough and made the move to OKC. On November 22, 2024, Blaine proposed on the beach, surprising me with our closest friends and family—and we celebrated with our favorite people in one of our favorite places. Now, we’re beyond excited to return to where it all began—our special little island full of charm, character, and so many happy memories. We can’t wait to share it with all of you.
