How We Met

September 2009

Unknown to Amelia, we actually first said 'hello' over Skype when Amelia was video chatting with a Boise buddy (Hi Erik!) who was temporarily rooming with Casey during the Gonzaga Men's Soccer Team training camp in early August 2009. But we truly met the 2nd weekend of our freshman year at Gonzaga University in Spokane, WA, both attending a Zag Soccer Team party. We were inseparable most of the evening and spent time together exchanging jokes, making each other laugh, and drinking poor excuses for cocktails. Walking back to the dorms, Amelia misread a sudden head movement of Casey's, thinking he was going in for a kiss. Amelia embarrassingly went the 80, Casey thankfully (and gladly) answered the remaining 20. That freshman year we spent a great deal of time together - no seriously, Casey even earned the title of "Honorary Madonna Resident" of Amelia's all female dorm floor, Madonna. We've quite literally grown up together since that evening in 2009.

The Proposal

January 27, 2018

After both spending almost 5 years in Seattle, we moved and jet set off to South America for 3 months in January 2018 for our first international adventure together. The morning of January 27, Amelia told Casey that "today is going to be 'tremendous' - and I really don't use that adjective very often" while on their way to Perito Moreno Glacier, located in the Los Glaciares National Park in southwest Argentina, in the Argentinian Patagonia. Casey, who'd been planning on proposing for months, boldly brought a ring all the way to Argentina in anticipation for a perfectly 'tremendous' day to ask.

Twinlow Camp

June 22, 2019

We absolutely love the outdoors, playing games, mountain views, crisp cool lakes, dancing and spending time with our family & friends. We've found the perfect place to bring them all together and to celebrate our wedding weekend - at Twinlow Summer Camp in Rathdrum, Idaho. Come help us relive childhood memories of good times spent among nature and around friends by saying 'I do' in the area of Eastern Washington and Northern Idaho where we first met and fell in love. We're excited for you to join us for a whole weekend of outdoor games, dancing under the stars, and bunking under the pines during the longest weekend of the year - the summer solstice! We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you. See you in Rathrum!
