when two college students decided to go to the same night club for a girls/guys night out. Once upon a time, a group of girls were driving to Hollywood to have a fun night when one of the girls decided to assign "club names" to each of the girls. It was that night that Casey was assigned to her club name, Stella. She was committed, thinking she would not be meeting anyone that night, until... she bumped into someone. That someone just happened to be her future husband (and yes, she committed to being Stella for another 5 dates).

Proposal started 9 months ago before the date when I gave Casey her Christmas gift. I did not give her the exact date because what is the fun of knowing the day you would get proposed right? One sunny day, I decided to plan a day at Venice beach, as we like to just walk and talk about how everything has been. I planned every detail of that day for something special was about to happen. I decided to start with Santa Monica 3th street walk. We find the cutest coffee shop right. I grabbed us coffee and macarons. Then, I took her Main Street to enjoy the sunny walk. Last time, we loved getting a rental bicycle and going all around of Santa Monica, for my luck, there was no rental bicycles around... Only a bunch of scooters. At first, we were able to go with scooters until Casey got scared (scootering and heels are not the deal). I planned to go to Venice canals with scooters, but Casey got scared and almost fell down. Our special day was going to end with tragedy! Anyway, I had a photographer waiting there. After walking there a lot and actually talking about our past and future, I popped the question. She forgot to say yes at first, but there were people around us who clapped and congratulated us!

Originally, when we got engaged, we pictured having our wedding around April 2022. As the planning started, we both realized we had A LOT happening all at once--Alp transferring to North Carolina State and trying to figure out how we would plan a wedding during long distance and while covid is still a thing. Long story short, we got STRESSED. I (Casey) have always dreamt of elopement while Alp had a dream wedding of celebrating with friends and family, so while we were home for the summer, my mom suggested the idea of eloping first, and then slowly planning our wedding after, which was the solution to all of our stress. While we tried to look for the availability of a city hall, my mom brought up how we all need to take a family vacation to Las Vegas. Jokingly, we thought why not elope where Elvis is, and that joke soon became a reality when we booked the date at "The Little White Wedding Chapel" and we got to celebrate with both of our immediate families. We have been happily married since and cannot wait to celebrate with our friends and family!
