Bellingham International Airport (BLI)

While Bellingham International Airport (BLI) is a tiny airport, there are a fair number of flight options here that would save the hassle of going through Seattle. Southwest has quite a few flights. Alaska sometimes has puddle jumpers from SeaTac airport for not too much more. Allegiant also operates here, but we don't have much experience flying with them.

Seattle Tacoma International Airport (SEA)

SeaTac (SEA) is the major airport hub in Washington, just south of Seattle and about 2 hours south of Bellingham. It will have the largest number of options.

Everett (PAE) - Paine Field

Paine Field (PAE) in Everett, WA is another great option, with Alaska Airlines using it as a hub. The direct flight options are pretty limited, but may work for certain cities. It's about an hour south of Bellingham.

Vancouver International Airport (YVR) - Canada

Vancouver International Airport (YVR) in Canada is another possible option, although make sure you bring your passport! Vancouver, BC has a major airport and is about an hour north of Bellingham. Keep in mind you'll have to cross the border into the US, so keep an eye out for border wait times as there are a few crossing options. We haven't attempted this yet, but good to be aware of.

This is a shuttle bus option from SeaTac or Paine Field up to Bellingham.
