Belle Isle is a 982-care island park in the Detroit River, between the US & Canada. Home to a dozen landmarks & called the "Jewel of Detroit". Great place for taking a scenic drive, hiking, visiting the aquarium, or spotting mink, owls, foxes, beavers, or a bald eagle. You do not need a passport to go, but do switch your phone data off while on the Island as you may get international roaming fees as it connects to a Canadian cell tower. Cost: $9 / vehicle day pass for out-of-state guests
