If you’re an avid roller coaster fan, or like water parks, hang out at Worlds of Fun for the day! ($40 per ticket, $30 for parking)
A World War 1 museum with a good view of KC’s downtown area. Even better at nighttime! You can buy tickets to go up into Liberty Tower if you like heights. (Museum tickets $19.50 per adult, Liberty Tower tickets $6 per adult)
One of Julie’s favorite places to spend a chill day…Go for a jog, a casual walk through the rose garden, hang out on the lawn, play tennis, hammock, whatever you enjoy. (Free & easy parking!)
A further drive, but if you’re seeking nature and one of the most “hiking” vibes you can get in the KC area, this is the spot to go. The town nearby has a cool underground Irish pub (O’Malley’s) and some wineries.
There are games vs the New York Yankees on May 25th-27th if you’re a baseball fan (Don’t ask Dente’s opinion). (Tickets starting at $14, parking $21 online or $30 at gate)
An outlet shopping mall about 20 minutes west of downtown KC.

One of Julie’s favorite breweries because of the vibes, and they always have interesting craft beers to try. There’s also shuffleboard, darts, and tabletop games to keep ya entertained.
A charming & quality place to grab a sweet or savory crepe. Because it’s so good, it’s usually pretty busy; be prepared to wait for a seat & your food!
A great KC BBQ eatery, and where we went on our first date. Might be better to make reservations if you plan on going during peak meal times!
Another great BBQ place; The original location is an old gas station. If you go during peak meal times, be prepared for longer lines. Or, do Julie’s trick: order the Z-man sandwich online for pick up!

If you’re with a group of people who all want something different to eat, Parlor is a location with multiple restaurants & bars. Think like, an upscale mall food court.
A bar district with some restaurants and a courtyard in the middle. It’s very close to the hotels we have room blocks at. Also a place we went on our first date!
A small market area that has Farmer's Markets on Saturday mornings, and little spots to eat/shop.
