Like any couple in their 30s, Evan and Danielle surrendered to the dating apps in hopes of finding “the one.” After years (yes, years) of bad dates and worse stories, the Hinge algorithm worked it's magic and paired them as “Most Compatible to Meet.” Evan made the first move, and a Wednesday night date was set at Walter’s 303 Pizza - a sports bar with decent pizza and zero romantic vibes. Leading up to it, neither party was all that excited. Past Hinge dates hadn’t exactly raised the bar. But to their surprise, this one was different. The conversation flowed, the laughs came easy, and before they knew it, they ended up at the dive bar next door. Pickle shots led to deep conversations, more laughs and no doubts that there would be a second date. From that night on, they never looked back. They even call the day they met their anniversary, because when you know, you know. A few months later, they traveled to Thailand together. At six months they moved in, and after two and half years, Evan embarked on the ultimate test; asking Danielle to marry him on a grueling three day backpacking trip. Everything about the hike was difficult, but saying 'yes' was not. Now they're saying ‘I do’ in one of their favorite vacation spots, a place that already holds special memories.
