Emory Livestock Auction
Every Saturday starting at 9am. Cool to see if you haven't seen a livestock live auction before. We have been there for fun just to stop in and watch what is up for sale. Sale Order: Goats/Sheep Horses/Mules Small Calves/Roping Stock Packer/Weigh Cows Bulls Bred Cows/Pairs Yearlings

I had to recommend this to our out of town guests. My favorite breakfast is the honey butter chicken biscuit meal with an extra honey butter sauce on the side to dip the hash browns in. -Payton
RNA Tavern
Local bar with a cigar room. This is in Mineola near where we live which is about 30 minutes from the hotel but a cool and relaxing vibe if you want to sit and have a drink. They have a speakeasy cigar room where you enter through a bookcase door.

In 1870 the town became Emory, the seat of Rains County, but water remains the town's top attraction. Emory lies between two major reservoirs--27,690 acre Lake Fork, a trophy bass fishing lake, and 36,700 acre Lake Tawakoni, home of many retirees and weekenders.
