Travel Note
Hi All!!! Quick note. 1) Best airports to fly in and out of are OAK (Oakland International) or SFO (SF International). Check rates going in and out of both for best deal! 2) We are mostly likely NOT going to be reserving any blocks of rooms anywhere - if we do, we'll let you know. That said, check out the suggestions here to help find a good spot to stay! There are a TON of hotels and motels in the Concord/Walnut Creek area, and of course the Bay Area at large, so if these don't work for you, keep looking! Just be careful - some are REAL shady. Ask first if you're not sure. That's it! We can't wait to see you all, and truly appreciate the effort you're making to share this day with us. You are the best!
Train
A good, affordable way to get around The Bay! Will get you to both OAK and SFO airports, to Concord (where the ceremony is), Berkeley, Downtown San Francisco (Ferry Building, Union Square shopping, Mission District), Oakland... if you're comfortable with public transit, it's a good way to go!
House Or Rental
Not a bad idea to check out Airbnb for a cool rental - usually will have you covered whether you want to go cheap, or fancy. If you want to stay closer to the venue, search Concord, Walnut Creek, and Lafayette areas. If you don't mind driving a bit, and want to do more Bay Area sight-seeing/touristy type stuff, check out Berkeley, Oakland, or SF. Feel free to message us with questions if you're not sure about locations!
Hotel
Close to Nonna's, aka the venue, (about 10 minutes) and in downtown Walnut Creek - lots of shopping and food!
Hotel
This is in no way a practical suggestion - but Sarah has always wanted to stay here. It's a GORGEOUS hotel, in the Berkeley hills (about 20-30 minutes from Nonna's). If you decide to splurge and stay there, you have to tell Sarah allllll about it.
Hotel
Ok, listen - this is not a glamorous spot. It is, however, a bit cheaper than other hotels/motels in the area. And close to the venue! Motel 6 has served me well in my time, so throwing this in the mix, just in case!
Hotel
Another option - fancier than Motel 6, for sure, not as expensive as the Marriott. Close to the venue, fairly close to Bart, and downtown Concord and Walnut Creek. Has a cool pool, lots of suites, good for families!
