If you've never been to Austin before, or even if you have but you've never experienced the bats, then you need to! The bats take residence under the Congress Avenue Bridge and each night from about 7:30pm-9:45pm they leave to go find a feast. It's an unforgettable event that everyone should experience at least once. Bonus: Our hotel is walkable to the bridge!
Austin has a thriving museum district. Art lovers should check out the Blanton Museum of Art or the Umlauf Sculpture Garden. History buffs can explore the Bullock Texas State History Museum, George Washington Carver Museum, LBJ Presidential Library and Museum, or Pioneer Farms. Nature enthusiasts should definitely walk around the LBJ Wildflower Center and see if you get a peek at Athena, the nesting owl who has roosted there for 13 years! Got kids? Take them to the Thinkery!
Keep the party going! Our hotel is walkable to Sixth Street and Rainey Street, two of Austin's most well known spots for music, dancing, and drinks.
There is so much to explore in Austin and within a short drive from the city. Consider spending some time in nature at Red Bud Isle, Barton Springs, Pedernales Falls State Park or Enchanted Rock!
