I think one of the strongest bonds in life are trauma bonds. Here's a list of things Carter and I have survived together: -Long distance (Australian Tuesdays) -College -MN Winters -COVID -Working remotely in a 490 sq. ft apartment -The Trump Era -Crippling student debt -The Kia Boys -Administering an EPI pen followed by accidentally taking a shot of peanut butter whiskey given to us by a stranger the next day -Every time a MN sports team makes a playoff -When our weiner dog accidentally ingested marijuana and had a bad trip -When eggs were $6 -THIS ECONOMY Our favorite female artist, Kelly Clarkson once said, "What doesn't kill you makes you stronger" and boy are we SO strong. Except when we're not. Here's a list of memorable places we've fought: -Outside of AEPi -On our way to Garden of the Gods in CO -Across the street from Washington Square Park in NYC -Walking to our AirBNB in London -Along the Seine in Paris -In a golf cart on Isla Mujeres in Mexico -When Carter took dee to Miami for her 26th birthday despite her having hating Miami as a personality trait and she cried in the club ON HER BIRTHDAY :( (Also Kelly Clarkson isn't actually our favorite. That crown belongs to Olivia Rodrigo) Who knows where else we'll fight but God (or whomever you believe) knows we'll probably survive because everyone knows Carter holds the apartment up and even though Dee wears the pants, she knows Poppy needs him to take her out at night because Dee's not doing that, we live in Chicago! JK, it's not dangerous, don't trip. If you've made it this far, you can thank me because I provided a fun read. But seriously though, thanks for being a part of our journey. If you're on Dee's side of the fam/friends, thanks for refereeing at some point during the relationship and if you're on Carter's, thanks for pretending to like me. Live, laugh, love.
