Carter had been trying to get Chelsie to go on a date with him for over a year. She held out all that time, just to experience the worst first date ever. Setting: Idle Hour Pub - Lagrange Georgia Time: 2:00 PM Temperature: Hotter than mid 20's Betty White The couple met outside the Idle Hour Pub, and awkwardly hugged as they headed inside for a relaxed, non-committal, lunch date. After realizing that "Idle" wasn't a reference to idle time, but rather an engine in a car (NASCAR themed pub), Carter and Chelsie shared a lunch as the only two patrons of the establishment. if you don't count the waitress that would not leave them alone. Looking for an escape, Carter suggested they "walk around town, and talk". Bad move. Somehow, the Earth was closer to the sun that day, than it had ever been (scientifically proven, Google it). Approximately three seconds into the walk and talk, Carter began sweating profusely (not all due to the heat. Chelsie was, after all, the most beautiful woman he had ever met). A quick trip to a gas station for two bottles of water and he survived nearly an hour walking around town and looking at nothing other than her the whole time. After they went their separate ways, each had decided, without a shred of doubt, that the other would never call them again. Well, the heat clearly damaged Carter's brain, and he called her almost immediately (after a long, cold shower). For some reason, unexplainable by science, Chelsie agreed. The rest, as they say, is history.
