"At the end of Maybank Highway where a two-lane paved road becomes dirt and gravel, an unassuming shiplap-paneled building is tucked amid live oak trees and stately homes resembling wedding cakes..." Check out this article about the history of our venue and the famous Rockville Regatta - an annual tradition which began in 1890 when two neighbors challenged each other to see who could sail faster up Bohicket Creek. Gibson's family has a lot of history here. Her paternal grandparents met at the Club. She has many fond memories of Rockville - cheering on her family's sailboats during races, supporting her father during his time as Commodore, and playing with friends around the property as a child. We can't wait to share this beautiful place with our favorite people.
