The Wedding Website of Bridget Anderson and Carson Bricco
San Miguel de Allende is the most charming small town in Mexico! It is a colorful, colonial-style city with a vibrant wine scene, markets, artisans, and one of Mexico's most impressive gastronomic scenes. Fun Facts: - 2008: The city was designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. - 2021 World's Best Awards: World's Best City. - 2022 Readers' Choice Awards: The friendliest city in the world. - It is often noted as one of the safest Mexican cities for tourists, which is evidenced by its low crime rate.

Travel Note

If you are reading this now, please know that you were invited because WE LOVE YOU!

We know that this is a lot to ask and a long way to travel for many. With that said, we hope no one feels obligated to make such a long journey for us, and we completely understand if you can not make it! For those of you able to come, we hope this experience can mean so much more to you than just our wedding! Because of that, we encourage all guests to make the most of this trip outside of wedding arrangements. We have a few suggestions under Things To Do to enhance your experience.

Travel Note

please read

AS SOON AS POSSIBLE - The Mexican government only requires that your passport must be valid during the entirety of your trip, so make sure you have a passport that is valid through the end of September. However, it's recommended that you have at least six months on your passport before it expires. - If you do not have a passport, start the process as soon as possible. The US is experiencing delays and will take around 10-13 weeks. THE DAY BEFORE ARRIVAL - Drink water! The elevation is 6,000 ft. - Pack walking shoes! The streets are cobblestone, so prepare to wear block heels or flats when walking around. ONCE YOU ARRIVE - ***If Immigration doesn't stamp your passport and gives you a ticket instead, DO NOT LOSE THE TICKET. You need it to leave the country. - Exchange USD for pesos at CI BANCO either at the airport or downtown San Miguel next to San Francisco Church

Flight

QRO, BJX, or MEX

1. QRO (Querétaro Intercontinental Airport) is an international airport located in the municipalities of Colón and El Marqués, Querétaro, Mexico. It is about an hour and a half drive to San Miguel. 2. BJX (Bajío International Airport), officially known as Aeropuerto Internacional de Guanajuato, is an international airport located in Silao, Guanajuato, Mexico, near the city of Leon. It is about a two-hour drive to San Miguel. 3. MEX (Mexico City International Airport) is about a four-hour drive to San Miguel. We would only recommend flying here if you spend a few days in Mexico City and pay for a driver/shuttle to San Miguel.
