Yes. We recommend buying your park pass online ahead of time so you can avoid long lines at the park gates. Please see the Travel tab for more information.
Yes! Canadian law requires that all persons entering Canada carry both proof of citizenship and proof of identity. A valid U.S. passport, passport card, or NEXUS card satisfies these requirements for U.S. citizens. Children under 16 need only present proof of U.S. citizenship. Please check to see if your passport is up to date! It’s recommended to make sure it has 6 months past this trip until it expires- so make sure it’s valid through the end of January, 2020.
ASAP! If you already know that you'll be joining us in Banff (yay!) the sooner you book your hotel, the better! We do have a room block at the Buffalo Mountain Lodge, however, if you would like to look into other accommodations, we recommend booking as soon as possible as July is a very popular time of year in Banff. If you need any help, please don't hesitate to reach out to us!
Parking can be limited at Tunnel Mountain Reservoir so please allow extra time for arrival. The ceremony location is directly across from Buffalo Mountain Lodge, where there is additional parking. However, we recommend taking your hotel shuttle to the wedding. If your hotel does not have the free shuttle, we can send the shuttle from Buffalo Mountain Lodge to pick you up. Please let us know ahead of time so we can schedule accordingly. There are also several taxis and they would be a great option if there are no shuttles.
Yes, and we can't wait to see them!
The weather in Banff can be unpredictable, which is why the Wapiti Longhouse (where the reception is located) will be set up for a ceremony no matter what the weather forecast says. This will allow us to make the call the morning of the wedding.
