Carrina had the incredible luck of meeting her partner, Gabriel, back in 2019 at a birthday party of a mutual friend they made while attending Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, Arizona. It was instant attraction, a spark that ignited something special between them from the very beginning. After confidently walking up to Carrina at the party and introducing himself, Gabe made sure he got the most important question out of the way… “Who is your favorite baseball team?” Despite Carrina's answer being “The Dodgers”, Gabriel knows their first meeting was truly love at first sight. He knew immediately that there was something special about Carrina, and because of this the two formed an unbelievable friendship. For two years, the couple talked every day to keep up on daily life, surviving a global pandemic, and Carrina moving to two different states. Despite the distance and the hardships, the couple continued to have a strong friendship, and Gabriel even made the lengthy drive from Phoenix, AZ to West Covina, CA twice just to spend time with Carrina. Once she finally made her way back to Arizona in 2021, it only took Gabriel three days to realize that Carrina was "the one", so he asked her to “go steady” and their love story began. Carrina was enamored with how effortlessly Gabriel was able to make her feel safe, confident, and loved yet free to chase her dreams of continuing her education. Carrina’s unwavering support of Gabriel has been his rock through his career advancement journey, and their strong friendship, connection, and bond has helped them achieve their goals of having a happy, peaceful, devoted, life together full of love and laughter. Gabriel and Carrina have been through thick and thin together. Only growing stronger and more confident that they are each other’s soulmates and were made to be together for life. It is no secret that the couple shares a love for baseball games, cheering on their favorite teams together (every chance they get), and finding joy in the little moments they spend together. And who could forget the magical proposal on a mountain top in Sedona, Arizona? It was the perfect moment when Gabriel asked Carrina to spend forever by his side. With their puppy, Jax, as their witness, Carrina said "yes" to a future full of love, laughter, joy, passion, adventure, and baseball with the man of her dreams on October 30th, 2023. Carrina and Gabriel’s hope for the future is simple yet profound. Above all else they dream of a lasting friendship, a bond that grows stronger each passing day, the continued love and encouragement of their family and friends who have always been so supportive of their relationship since the first time they introduced one another to their loved ones, and to continue walking the path they worked so hard to create for their wonderful life.
