Question

How will guests will book a room?

Answer

Lisa (Greg's mom) will be helping with the room booking with her resort membership and is able to help us getting discounted rates and hotel perks. To get the best price we are recommending people book as early as possible! Steps for booking: 1. email: carolinepokalsky@gmail.com the first and last names of ALL members in the room (or # of rooms with members in each if booking mult. rooms), exact dates, email and a phone number for payment. 2. Lisa will be making the reservation with her agent at the resort, Caesar, to get membership perks (shuttle service and 30% discounted rate) 3. Caesar will call each person directly for payment. Please only use credit cards for safety, no debit cards for payment! Receipts will be sent to the email that each guest has provided after payment. ~If you do not want to book through Lisa you are welcome to book your reservations directly through the hotel! Please let them know that you are in our wedding group to ensure they will book rooms in the same location as our group. Remember that booking outside of Lisa's membership will not give you the 30% off rate or the free shuttle service to the airport~ Current rates until 05/31: ~5 days, 4 nights w/ king bed and sofa bed for 2 adults: Checking in on 01/09-01/13: $1,933.74 ~5 days, 4 nights with two double bed and sofa bed for 2 adults from 01/09-01/13: $1,933.74 ~7 days, 7 nights for king bed and sofa bed 2 adults for 01/08-01/15: $3,339.91 ~7 days, 7 nights for two double sofa beds for 01/08-01/15: $3,339.91 ~A 3rd person may be added to each room for an additional $238/day. This rate will include room, drink, food and included resort activities. FYI 2 vs 3/room will not change rates. ~all prices in USD~

What is the deadline to book rooms for the wedding?

Answer

There is no deadline! The current rates we have will only be guaranteed until 05/31, however you are able to book anytime after this date. As long as the resort has rooms you are able to book, however we recommend getting reservations in by August to ensure availability. We wanted to give our guests ample time to book as we understand it is a time crunch, but remember the earlier you book the cheaper it will be!

What is the timeline for guests to pay for booking?

Answer

Per our wedding contract "Group Reservation Policies: Memberships that make 10 or more reservations in the same property and for the same travel dates or that coincide for 3 or more nights will be considered as a group. Groups may pay only 50% of the total reservation at the time of booking to keep the dynamic rate. The remaining balance must be paid within 3 months."

Does the resort provide transport to and from the airport?

Answer

Booking under Lisa's membership only will provider perks including free shuttle service to and from the airport to the resort. Booking without the membership will require guests to take their own form of transportation to and from the airport (taxi etc.).

Do we have to stay a full week?

Answer

Of course not! We understand that people will have to take off work and we do not expect everyone to come for the full week. The wedding requires any guest at the resort to stay 3 nights, "the entire wedding group, including couple must book a room (s) at the Hotel with a minimum three consecutive night stay". We recommend people flying in on Thursday and leaving Monday if you are interested in participating in all of the wedding activities. Friday will be Greg and Carrie's bachelor and bachelorette parties which everyone is invited to, however the traditional wedding activities will be Saturday and Sunday so if you need to come later that is totally fine!

How many people can we have to a room?

Answer

Two or three guests for adults, four guests with children.

What is the cancellation policy?

Answer

The resort itself does not allow for cancellations, rather only assigns credits that can be used for another time. Per our contract "Cancellation Policies: Cancellation of one or all reservations 90 days prior to the arrival date generates a penalty charge of 100% of the amount paid for that reservation. Cancellation of one or all reservations prior to 90 days generates a penalty charge of USD$100". What does this mean? The resort policy for cancellation does not allow for refunds for the trip, instead they place your trip as a "credit" to be used as another time at the resort. If you cancel your trip 90 days prior to the wedding date, you will be responsible for a $100 cancellation charge.

Are we able to get travel insurance?

Answer

We are leaving travel insurance up to each individual guest. We understand if guests wish to have extra protection for their plane tickets and hotel reservations, however we believe this is a personal decision which we encourage each guest to consider when they are making their reservations. However for guests who are interested, travel insurance may be purchased from an online third party group to cover the cost of your trip in the event of health, family, and weather emergencies. There are many types of travel insurance available online, all of which vary in price, maximum trip costs covered, and if flights are covered or not.
