Travel Note
Glacier National Park in Montana is the Crown of the Continent. Unless you are driving, it may take a bit of planning with trains, planes and shuttles. This is high tourist season, if you want to stay longer, book early! This is our favorite, magical place. We look forward to sharing it with you.
Flight
Fly into Kalispell: https://iflyglacier.com/ From Kalispell, think about coming in on Saturday, spend the night in Kalispell/Whitefish and coming over either train or rent a car. Lodging on Saturday at GPL is tight but not impossible if you book early. If you rent a car, it will be easy to catch a flight back on Tuesday. If you take the train, it gets in too late and you will need to book Tuesday night in Kalispell/Whitefish. Fly into Great Falls, Helena or Missoula Think about coming in on Saturday, rent a car and spend the night before East Glacier. International You can fly to Seattle and take the overnight Amtrak train to Glacier Park Lodge. If you fly to Denver, you will need a connecting flight to either Kalispell, Great Falls, Helena or Missoula and then arrange ground transportation.
Train
There's Amtrak "Empire Builder" Overnight service that arrives across the street from Glacier Park Lodge. Seattle To Glacier Park Lodge 4:55pm arriving 9:36am, return 7:48pm arrive 11:29am Whitefish (11 miles from Kalispell airport) to Glacier Park Lodge 7:26am arriving 9:36am, return 7:48pm arrive 10:06pm
