8:00 pm - 10:00 pm
If you're looking for something to do on Friday night, come join us at The Landing! It's a bar and restaurant directly across the street from Riverside Park in downtown Yankton. There is an outdoor patio area, perfect for a warm summer night by the river. All wedding guests are welcome to this welcome reception!
5:00 pm - 6:00 pm
In adherence to Yankton wedding tradition, join the wedding party and come smash a celebratory bottle with us at the legendary Ice House Bar in downtown Yankton. (Definitely optional). As an alternative, check out the historic downtown, walk across the Missouri River at the Meridian Bridge, or head directly to the reception.
5:30 pm - 6:30 pm
Enjoy drinks and snacks after the ceremony and before the reception begins at The Brewery events center, located at the historic Rosebud Brewery. Look for the big, pink quartzite building with a tall smokestack on the corner of Walnut & W 2nd Street. Music provided by Jim Groth, Godfather of the Rowena Polo Club and two-time inductee into the South Dakota Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.
6:30 pm - 8:00 pm
Enjoy a taste of South Dakota, complete with local delicacies and desserts from across the state. Dinner will be served in the Barley Room at The Brewery.
8:00 pm - 10:00 pm
Dance, listen or laugh with southern Minnesota's most widely traveled sorta-disco band, The Golden Bubbles, featuring the groom's brother & best-man, Leo and a few groomsmen. The Golden Bubbles hail from Wells, MN and are named for a now defunct country ballroom. They play danceable piano rock with offbeat lyrics (aspiring Randy Newmans). The groom, Mr. Christopher Vondracek, will make an appearance on stage on the keys.
11:00 am - 2:00 pm
Swimsuits, beachwear, towels and water shoes
Please join us for a post-wedding brunch at Picnic Shelter #3 at the Gavins Point Recreation Area, located within Lewis & Clark State Park and Recreation Area. PSA Announcement: Within the last few years, invasive Zebra Mussels have been found in Lewis & Clark Lake. If you plan to wade into the lake, please consider wearing water shoes. Last summer, Carrie's Dad needed stitches after a bad run-in with a zebra mussel.
