Can I bring a date?

Answer

If your invitation says “and Guest,” then yes, if not, we would prefer if it was just you.

Are kids invited?

Answer

We love your kids, really and truly. But we want our wedding to be a time where you can let loose and enjoy a night off! Unless we have specifically invited your children (ie unless they are a part of the ceremony), we will have to celebrate with them another time!

Is there a dress code?

Answer

We love each and every one of you for exactly who you are. Because of that, we don't want to impose a dress code or exclude anyone based on what they may or may not feel comfortable in. That being said, do keep in mind that this is a wedding... and our wedding photos will be on display in our living room for a very long time. ;)

Is there phone service at the venue?

Answer

This actually isn't a frequently asked question, but we thought you should know that phone service at Sampson's Hollow is quite poor, and can actually be nonexistent altogether depending on your provider. That being said, make sure you have a print out of the directions to the location rather than use your phone to navigate.

Can I take photos at the wedding?

Answer

Good question. PLEASE do not use your phone during the ceremony. We ask that everyone turn their cell phones OFF during this time. The ceremony will be a very special and intimate moment for us and our families, and we would hate for it to be ruined by a cell phone. Don't worry about getting photos for us. We have hired a professional for that, and they have trouble getting a good shot when everyone's phone is up in the air. :) Feel free to use your phone and take as many photos as you'd like at the reception, though- so long as you remain out of the photographer's way. :)

Why did you make a wedding website?

Answer

We have a lot of family and friends who will be coming to the wedding, and we would love to be able to personally answer every question they have as well as send them every little update possible. Unfortunately, that just isn't feasible for us! We have made this website so that all information regarding our wedding is easily accessible for everyone. We will also be updating this site regularly, so check back for updates regarding our registry, travel information, fun facts about us and those in our wedding party, and info about the schedule of events.
