The CHS airport is the closest and most convenient airport to fly into. About a 20 minute ride to downtown and 30-40 minute ride to James Island or Folly Beach.
House Or Rental
Airbnb and VRBO are both great options if you are traveling as a group or want the true local Charleston feel. There are several properties available on Folly Beach, James Island, and on the Downtown Charleston Peninsula. These three areas are the most distance-friendly in regard to our weekend activities!

This is our number one pick for hotels on Folly Beach. It is conveniently located with great beach front views. It is about a 5min uber ride to our wedding venue on Bowen's Island.

This is one of the oldest hotels in Charleston. Opened in 1924, the hotel has been a central location on the downtown peninsula, cornered on Calhoun St. and King St., directly across from Marion Square. About a 15-20 minute ride to our Wedding venue, the Francis Marion bell boys can call you a car lickity-split! If you are looking for the "Charleston experience," this is a great option!

Located downtown but right at the base of the connector bridge, this hotel has great water views and is about 10minutes away from our wedding venue and 5minutes from the downtown social scene.
