COVID FAQs

COVID-19 UPDATE Due to the global pandemic and the sanctions imposed by Governor Pritzker, we have decided to forego a large wedding and any reception. Only our immediate families will be in attendance. We sincerely apologize for the late notice. We only learned of our wedding's viability when we were granted a marriage license on May 26th.
Question

Are you getting married in Illinois?

Answer

No. We are getting married at Carolyn's family church in Munster, Indiana. Ihe diocese of Chicago would not allow more than 10 people in the church, including the priest and any photographer or videographer. We relocated to Indiana so all members of our immediate families could be with us during the ceremony.

Question

Will there be a reception?

Answer

There will not be a reception on our actual wedding day of May 30th. We may have a reception at a later date, but no plans have been set at this time.

Question

Can we come to the wedding?

Answer

For everyone's health and safety, we politely ask that you do not attend. We are keeping our families' exposure to a minimum, and the church has been very strict with the number of people permitted to enter.

Question

Will the ceremony be live streamed?

Answer

No. Due to the restrictions set by the diocese, the ceremony will be lacking a formal procession, musicians, and singers. All in attendance must wear a mask and stay six feet apart. We will instead share photos and video taken outside the church where everyone can see our faces and share in our happiness.

For all the days along the way
