We met in the bleachers at Wrigley field while watching the Chicago Cubs! Following the game, we had a few drinks, battled in basketball, and danced to our 80s classics at Sluggers Sports Bar! In the weeks and months that followed, we kept that fun playful competition going. Carolyn was the first to say "I love you" but Jonathan was the first to profess "You're my forever."

Jonathan surprised Carolyn with the most poetic scavanger hunt of their first dates. Each clue began with "roses are red, violets are blue..." and ended with a destination and wooden puzzle piece. As the puzzle started to form the outline of a heart, the center piece was still missing. Jonathan presented that final piece, engraved with both of their names, with the ring and his heart under the weeping willows of Lincoln Park Zoo. The couple, who refers to each other as their "puzzle piece," has started the first stage of completing their lifelong puzzle. As their new family grows, each additonal piece will only add to the tearful memory of when Carolyn cried "Yes!"
