Timothy Stone
Best Man
Tim is the younger brother of the groom and is currently in his final year of graduate studies for business language translation at the Sorbonne University in Paris, France. He is the best man in many ways, including his love of music, languages, and the arts.
Allison Merz
Maid of Honor
Ally Merz is a co-maid of honor and the youngest of the Merz sisters. She is about to complete her second year of medical school at Harvard Medical School. Fun fact: upon arrival at Harvard, the sorting hat placed her in the Griffyndor House.
Alexa Merz
Maid of Honor
Alexa is a co-maid of honor, the bride's older sister, and the eldest of the three Merz sisters. She is currently a surgical resident in Phoenix, Arizona. Alexa, like many in the Merz family, is a former collegiate athlete and swam Division 1 at Stanford while completing a pre-med course load! In addition to being an excellent surgeon, she is a gourmet chef, tender of plants on her balcony gardens, and can almost certainly outrun you.
Bill Stone
Groomsman
Bill is the oldest Stone brother. He introduced the groom to the city of St. Louis while attending St. Louis University for his undergraduate degree. Rob served as Bill's best man for his wedding in 2014. Bill and his wife Kelly live in Brookfield, WI and are new parents to a cute and active toddler, Madeline Stone. Bill works in finance in Milwaukee for Town Bank. He is an excellent golfer and a great example of a loving husband and father.
John Varebrook
Groomsman
John "JV" Varebrook is one of the groom's oldest and best friends, who unintentionally facilitated the eventual meeting of the bride and groom. Rob and JV first met playing against each other in youth soccer and baseball. JV's all star game winning slide at home plate against the groom's team is a highly debated topic, but something to definitely ask his side of the story at the wedding. JV is great example of a loving husband, father, and friend.
Brittany Mastin
Matron of Honor
Brittany is Caroline's best friend from high school. Caroline met Brittany at Harvard-Westlake High School in Los Angeles, where they took classes and engaged in general frivolity together. They have traveled together on many family trips (from snowboarding in Utah to boating in the Bahamas), and have remained close friends despite not living in the same place for over ten years! Brittany is a physician and is currently completing a residency in Family Medicine in Southern California.
Emily Reynolds

Emily and Caroline were placed together as roommates during their freshman year at Princeton (Bloomberg Hall, room "two-fiddy"), which worked out quite well because they became fast friends and decided to live together for all 4 years! Emily was a political science major and won an NCAA Division I title in Women's rowing. After getting an MBA from Oxford, she is currently working for Google in their London offices...oh Ello Govna'.
Marcus Kuhnert
Groomsman
Marcus is one of Rob's oldest and best friends. From attending preschool together to their first soccer team "the Green Machine," Rob and Marcus have been through life's phases from the very beginning through college. Rob and Marcus started the Marquette club soccer team. Marcus is a great leader as well as a reliable and honest friend. He will likely be governor of Wisconsin and the state will be better for it.
Mike Peterson
Groomsman
Mike Peterson is the future brother-in-law of the groom. Rob and Mike both grew up in Elm Grove, but did not meet until a blind set-up arranged by the groom's sister, Betsy Stone. Mike's charm, wit, and intelligence made him an instant hit at Stone and Shannon family gatherings. He is currently finishing his Master's in business administration at Northwestern's Kellogg School of Management.
Brittany Parisi
Bridesmaid
Brittany is one of the bride's dearest friends from Princeton, where they were both in the Cottage eating club together and spent countless hours studying for their shared Psychology classes. When Caroline tore her ACL and was recovering from knee surgery, Brittany drove Caroline around in a golf cart in the snow on the Princeton campus. Brittany is an attorney in New York City and promises to bring her dance moves to St. Louis for the wedding.
Susie Scanlan
Bridesmaid
Susie and Caroline met at Princeton during their time on the varsity fencing team. Caroline and Susie shared many long bus rides together for Ivy League fencing tournaments up and down the east coast. Susie won a Bronze Medal in Fencing at the London Olympics in 2012 (USA! USA! USA!). She worked in economics in the Obama White House and is currently working for the Federal Reserve in New York City.
Joe Luedke
Groomsman
Joe is one of the groom's oldest and closest friends. Joe and Rob met in the first grade and went to school together from 1st grade through their time as roommates at Marquette University, Room 1133. Joe and Rob have been through so much together. Joe is a great confidant with a wit and great sense of humor to match. He can be the life of the party or the best conversationalist at dinner. Joe is currently working as an attorney in Madison, WI.
