Flight
We recommend flying into the Edinburgh airport for your convenience. The tram from the airport will take you into the city center in around 30 minutes if you are interested in exploring Edinburgh. However, you may also fly into Glasgow or Newcastle.
Rental Car
Renting a car from the Edinburgh airport or Waverley train station is the most convenient way to get to Lauder, which is located 26 miles from the city center. Remember to check into whether your insurance covers international car rentals.
Train
Train services run from Edinburgh Waverley Station to the Scottish Borders 7 days a week and take just under an hour. Option to get off at Stow or Tweedbank. Visitors can transfer to local buses at Tweedbank Station, or hop in a taxi from either train station. Taxis in this area are limited, so if you plan to use this option, PLEASE reserve one in advance. See below for local taxi info.
