How do I get there and where do I stay?

Answer

There are several ways to travel to Lauder which we have detailed in the Travel section of this website. It’s a lot of information, but we included everything so that you can choose the options that suit you. We have two hotel blocks arranged and their phone numbers can also be found in that section.

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

We will be providing a shuttle from the Black Bull Hotel to and from the castle on the day of the wedding. Those guests who choose to stay at the Lauderdale Hotel can catch the bus at the Black Bull, which is just a 5 minute walk down the road.

What’s the dress code?

Black tie optional. Kilts and tartan welcome.

We would be honored to host your little ones! Please make a note of your total party number when you RSVP online if you’re bringing your kids.

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

We are asking for a relatively early response due to the wedding being international. We request that you submit your RSVP by January 17th 2026.

What’s the weather like in Scotland this time of year?

Answer

Scottish weather can be unpredictable, but the average highs for this time are around 46°-55°. Pack warm layers and remember rain is always a possibility!
