Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Caroline Corasaniti and Mike Wilson
Olympic Valley is one of our favorite places on earth and we are so excited to share it with you on our special weekend!
Palisades Tahoe

Palisades Tahoe

1960 Olympic Valley Road, Olympic Valley, CA 96146

Palisades Tahoe is the name of the ski resort in the town where we are getting married. It was formerly known as Squaw Valley. The village is the large area at the base of the resort that has bars, restaurants and shopping. Favorite Coffee: Coffee Bar Best Bar and Restaurant: Plump Jacks. Plump Jacks is not actually in the village, but you will pass it when walking to the village from The Lodge. It is pricey, but their cocktails are delicious and so are their wings. Favorite Food: The nachos at Rocker and the flautas at Tremigo - we order these because they are tasty and a good bang for your buck.

The Links at Everline

400 Squaw Creek Road, Olympic Valley, CA 96146

This is a golf course in Olympic Valley. There are also many golf courses both in Truckee and Tahoe City, they will require a car to get to.

Hiking and Biking!

Olympic Valley is a beautiful place to be outside! There is a bike path, a golf course, and endless hiking trails to explore. - Bike Path: there is a bike path that parallels the main road in town. The bike path continues to Tahoe City, it is about 15 miles round trip to Tahoe City. - Golf Course: there is a golf course in Olympic Valley. It is owned and run by Everline - a resort in the valley. - Hiking: there are many ski runs turned hiking trail on the mountain, you can follow any one of them up the hill. However, Shirley Canyon hike is the most popular in Olympic Valley. It follows a alpine stream with many waterfalls, and it is challenging. The trail map is linked below https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/california/shirley-canyon-cascades-trail

Truckee

Truckee, CA 96161

The town of Truckee, 12 mikes from Palisades Tahoe, has a charming historic downtown with great window shopping, actual shopping, restaurants, and bars. Favorite Nice Restaurant: Pianeta! We went here the night we got engaged Favorite Brewery: The Alibi or 50/50 Favorite Shops: Riverside, Bespoke, Mountain Arts Collective. Lorien Powers Jewelry is who designed Caroline and Mike's ring.

Tahoe City

Tahoe City, CA

Tahoe City is 7.5 miles from Olympic Valley. There is a bike path that follows the Truckee River from Olympic Valley to Tahoe City that is flat and beautiful. You can rent bikes in Olympic Valley or Tahoe City. We love commons beach as well as the picnic area by The Gatekeepers Museum. There is walking/bike path along the lake that extends down the west shore of Lake Tahoe. The down town is not as cute as Truckee, but it has incredible views of Lake Tahoe! Eagle Rock is less than ten minutes from downtown town Tahoe City, and it is a 1.5 mile round trip hike that has a beautiful view of Lake Tahoe. Favorite Burger: The Bridgetender - this is a dive bar but we love it. Inside is nothing special but their outside patio is on the river and very nice. Drinks with a view: Evo Sierra Surf Club, The National Brewery, Sunnyside Restaurant. Our favorite option is to bring a picnic to one of the parks we listed above! There is a Safeway right in town.
