Travel Note
For those travelling from London, there is one direct flight per day from London Stanstead to the local airport, Perugia (approx. 35 minutes from Todi by car). If you are planning to fly to Perugia on Friday May 7th, please let us know, as many guests will be taking that flight and we can help to co-ordinate group transport. On Sunday the 9th, the currently scheduled flight from Perugia to London is quite early. Considering this, we are planning to organise a bus to take people to Rome Fiumicino (from Rome there are many flights to the UK), leaving Todi at around 12 noon. If you would like a seat on this bus please let us know.
Travel Note
For other international travellers, the easiest airport to fly into is Rome Fiumicino. There are various ways to get from Rome to Todi, as set out on this page. On Sunday 9th May, we are planning to organise a bus from Todi to Rome Fiumicino leaving around 12 noon. If you would like a seat on this bus, please let us know. It's also possible to fly into Florence, and then either rent a car, or take a train to Perugia and then a taxi. Further details below.
Rental Car
If you are arriving to Rome or Florence, we recommend renting a car, as Todi is in the middle of the beautiful Umbrian countryside, so travel by public transport (while possible) is a little tricky. It is about 1h50 by car from Rome to Todi. Alternatively, from Florence it is about 2h25. If you plan on renting a car and have any spaces, please let us know in case somebody else is struggling to arrange transport and might be able to catch a lift!
Train
If arriving into Rome , it's possible to get to Umbria by train. This would mean taking a train from the Airport to Rome Termini, and from there a train to Terni (or Perugia). From Terni/Perugia it's possible to reach Todi by bus or taxi. If arriving to Florence, from the central station it's possible to take a train to Perugia, and from Perugia it's possible to reach Todi by bus/taxi. Please keep in mind that there are limited trains/buses each day, so make sure to plan your travel in advance.
