The nearest airport is Perugia/Assisi, however there are far more flights available to Rome and we'd recommend renting a car if you can, for ease. Please see full information on the travel tab of this website. Taxi info. is included in a separate FAQ. Church - Concattedrale della Santissima Annunziata Reception - Relais Todini, Todi
We have reserved a number of rooms from the 7-9 May, at the hotel Fonte Cesia in the historic center of Todi. This hotel is just a couple of minutes by foot from the Church, and in the heart of Todi, in case you want to explore! The rooms are reserved for booking until the end of DECEMBER 2026. To enquire about booking a room please email info@fontecesia.it with the code 'Wedding: Caroline and Luca". Private parking is available at the hotel, at a cost of 15 EUR per night - but you can also park at the cheaper Parcheggio Porta Orvietana (8 EUR per night) and take the free lift up to the historic center. For anyone driving and staying elsewhere in the centre of Todi - we would advise using this car park, as there are traffic restrictions in the historic center. There are various other hotels, BnBs and Air BnBs in Todi. We would advise staying in the historic center, so you are walking distance to the Church and the venue for the Welcome Aperitivo. Please let us know where you are staying once you have booked. We will arrange transport from the reception back to the centre of Todi.
Yes! We recommend English Speaking 'Leonardo Taxi Driver' +39 349 600 4558 (leonardo.tarquini@hotmail.it). Alternatively there's Bruscolotti Taxi Driver +39332032742. For airport transfers to Perugia/Assisi airport, there's also Perugia Taxi, +376 231 4678 (should be contactable by whatsapp). If you're having any trouble booking taxis please let us know and we will do our best to assist! If you let us know how you're planning on arriving to Todi, we will see if anyone is arriving at the same time and could share a taxi. Hotels may also be able to help with shuttles short distances - for example if you arrive to Todi Pian di Porto by bus.
Please RSVP by the end of February 2027.
Relaxed formal - we want everyone to feel comfortable and wear whatever they like, our only note is to please ensure knees and shoulders are covered inside the Church to avoid any issues on the day, as this is generally required in Catholic ceremonies. Weather wise we are hoping for a warm and sunny day, but note that rain is always possible in May. It could get chilly when the sun goes down, so we recommend packing a shall/jacket.
Due to limited venue capacity, we're only able to accommodate guests listed on the invitation. Thank you for understanding!
Yes! Children named on the invitation are very welcome. :)
Please arrive at the Church no later than 2:45pm.
Yes - we will provide transportation from the Church to the reception, and back to the center of Todi in the evening. Please let us know where you will be staying to assist us in organising the return transportation.
Yes, for those wishing to drive to the reception, there is free parking at Relais Todini. For those who do not have parking at their accomodation in Todi, we advise parking at Parcheggio Porta Orvietana (8 EUR per night) and taking the free lift up to the historic center. Please be careful when driving in Todi as there are traffic restrictions in the historic center.
Anti-histamines for hay fever sufferers - the pollen count in Umbria in May can be high! :) Mosquito repellant Sun cream and sun glasses (god willing we will need it!!) Party energy ;)
We want everyone to be fully present in the moment and so kindly ask that during the ceremony phones are put away. The professional photographers will be on hand to capture everything. During the reception, feel free to take as many photos as you please! :)
Umbria is famous for wild boar ragu and for truffles. The latter may feature on the wedding menu ;) but we would recommend trying these if you're eating out locally! Places we would recommend to visit for those planning an Umbrian holiday - Lake Trasimeno, Cascata delle Marmore, Orvieto, Assisi and Perugia (plus of course Todi!!).
We are SO grateful that you are travelling to celebrate with us. That is already a significant gift and truly the only gift we need (although we would love your words of wisdom in a card we can treasure)! However, we know that some people might still like to send a gift, in which case we'd be really grateful if you would send it to our address in the UK a couple of weeks before or after the wedding, as we're planning to head directly to our honeymoon following the wedding.
