Castle in the Clouds in itself is a great place to visit! There are several hiking trails on the property consisting of varying difficulties and they also offer tours of the estate as well.

Driving the Kancamangus Highway can offer some really gorgeous views of the White Mountains, especially during October when the leaves are changing. Traffic can get heavy on this road, highly recommend checking this one out as early in the morning as you can.

The Sandwich Notch is our little secret, Jon actually proposed to Caroline at Beede Falls right off of Sandwich Notch road! It's an incredibly scenic road in the fall, can be quite steep, but worth the drive.

Take a scenic train ride out of Meredith, NH. They offer a 2-hour train ride cruising along the very scenic Lake Winnipesaukee. They do also have a scenic rail bike ride that is out of Laconia, NH as well.

Venture out to the Seacoast of NH and checkout Portsmouth! There is so much beauty and history in Portsmouth it's a must-see. We have so many recommendations I couldn't list them all individually but we would recommend touring the John Langdon house, touring the USS Albacore (really neat submarine!!), taking a boat ride with Portsmouth Harbor Cruise and learn about the history of the port, walk around downtown checking out all the shops, take a walk through Prescott Park and watch the boats come in and admire all the neat bridges, and enjoy plenty of good-eats in Portsmouth!
