After spotting Jon on move-in day at the University of Hartford in 2014, Caroline tracked him down at a party that same night and excitedly mentioned she recognized his car from a post in the UHart Class of 2018 Facebook group. Her bold approach clearly worked, as they've remained together through various long-distance phases: Jon's move to North Carolina, Caroline's time at UHart, Jon's return to New Hampshire, and Caroline's transfer to Stockton University in New Jersey. From 2019 to 2024, they lived in an apartment in Dover NH with their cat Cleo, and now they are kicking off 2025 by living the homeowner life in Berwick, Maine! Jon and Caroline are now looking forward to finally tying the knot and hope you join them on their big day!
Every fall, Jon and Caroline visit the Sandwich Fair in Sandwich, NH, continuing a cherished tradition from Jon's childhood. After enjoying a morning filled with fried foods, farm animals, and each other's company, they headed up Sandwich Notch for their annual leaf-peeping adventure. This particular year, they made a pit stop at Beede Falls. Jon took Caroline's hands, expressing his love and appreciation, something he often did. Caroline remained unaware of what was coming until Jon asked her if she wanted to spend the rest of his life with him. Realizing the significance, she joyfully said yes. Jon then got down on one knee and officially proposed. They then spent the rest of the day basking in their happiness, driving around to admire the foliage, and visiting scenic spots like Castle in the Clouds, which would later become their wedding venue. They ended the perfect day with a comforting meal at the Thirsty Moose in Dover, NH.
We never imagined we'd have to get married without our sweet Cleo, so of course we have to have a special mention for our girl. We adopted Cleo at the age of six from Popcorn Park in Lacey NJ and brought her all the way up to NH. She was brought to the shelter after surviving a house fire, was adopted, and then brought back to the shelter again for litter box issues (which we never experienced with her). We happened to stumble into the shelter one day wanting to just take a peak at the kitties. Cleo was the first cat we saw and we immediately fell in love with her and began the adoption process. She lived with us in Dover, NH in our apartment for over five years and our landlord never found out! Cleo was the best incognito cat ever and in general the best cat ever. She was a once-in-a-lifetime pet and we will never forget her.
