An Airbnb close to the wedding venue
Uber is a great option for getting around town if you are not renting a vehicle. On the day of the wedding, you can take advantage of the evening trolley service that will bring guests to and from The Pepper Plantation, the 3 hotel blocks, a drop-off point in IOP, and a local bar. This will be a traditional wedding consisting of the following: - a short, seated, outdoor wedding ceremony by the serene lake - an outdoor cocktail hour along the backside of the expansive, wrap-around porch - a seated, indoor reception beginning with a couple of toasts and short speeches - an organized, buffet-style dinner whereby guests are welcomed to take a photograph with the Bride & Groom and subsequently partake in the buffet offerings - some wedding party dancing followed by a night of dancing - an early wedding-couple "faux exit" - more dancing and departure of the first trolley - final venue pickup and closeout at the venue - partying at a local bar for those guests who just keep going - final trolley pickup from the bar
Your presence is the only present we need. We kindly request no gifts as we now live out of town, but your well wishes in a card are most welcome.
Formal attire is most appropriate. The weather can be quite unpredictable this time of year. We anticipate it being nice and chilly (in the 40s-50s), but please be prepared for a potential warm front as well.
