God has a funny way of helping people that are destined to be together actually find each other. Carter grew up in the little town of Justin, in North Texas. Caroline attended college at The University of North Texas in Denton, just north of Justin. In fact, a favorite coffee shop that Caroline went to regularly to study and hang out was just minutes from Carter's home. Even though they were there at the same time, their paths never crossed in North Texas. Carter attended college at Stephen F. Austin State University in East Texas not far from where Caroline spent time at her family's lake house, yet their paths never crossed in East Texas. Carter and Caroline both wanting a new adventure after college, had the same idea. Both decided to move to Colorado to pursue their passions and dreams. Carter is a musician and Caroline is an artist. Both love the outdoors and Colorado seemed to be the perfect place to start their new life. Those two Texans met for the first time in the Rocky Mountains and a wild love for each other started them moving together on the same path! Quickly realizing how similar they were in many ways, they immediately formed a bond and started experiencing everything Colorado had to offer. Carter, Caroline and their dogs Onyx and Paisley Rae started spending more and more time together in the mountains, on the lakes, and at the art and music festivals. As their friendship begin to grow so did the realization that they had so much in common. Both were supportive of each others artistic careers knowing it wasn't going to be easy financially at times. Eventually they knew that their love for each other was real and they were meant to be together. Carter proposed at a romantic setting in Texas in December of 2022. He even arranged for Caroline's brother, sisters, niece, nephew and his mom to be a part of the surprise proposal. So these two separate journeys that Carter and Caroline were on, starting in Texas have converged into a new life together. Just as God had planned.
