Boots + Birds: Welcome Party

Country Cocktail: think comfortable walking shoes/boots, sport coats, but no ties necessary.
(OPTIONAL) For out of town guests and rehearsal dinner party, join us for a happy hour to kick-off the weekend! Pinola Aviary is a private aviary in North Louisiana, that is home to nearly 300 bird species from around the world, including critically endangered ones. It offers a blend of free-flight areas, ponds, and specialized habitats, all designed by Caroline's late father, Mike Hoogland. The creation of Pinola was a lifelong dream of Mike's best friend, Mr. Paul Dickson, or "Uncle Paul" to Caroline. We invite you to come visit the aviary Friday before the wedding party's rehearsal dinner. The tours will end at 6:00pm so the bride and groom can walk to the rehearsal dinner.

The rehearsal dinner is invite only. To all rehearsal dinner attendees, we will walk from the Pinola Aviary to the rehearsal dinner at 6:00pm. Please consider wearing comfortable shoes even with your cocktail attire.

The wedding will take place on a grass lawn— please wear appropriate footwear.

Sunday Funday: Open House at the Hooglands

Loungewear and bathing suits.
(OPTIONAL) For all guests who are sticking around til Monday, catching late flights, or just want to hang out longer, the bride and groom will be at the Hooglands house enjoying leftovers. Come as you are. We'll have yard games, snacks, drinks, and a pool/hot tub. Very casual!
