While I am blessed to have so many great friends in my life, when it came to making the decision as to who would be standing up with me at my wedding, it was an easy answer, my sister Sharon. Whether we are laughing till we cry or crying till we laugh, she was always looking out for me. And while there are so many examples to call on, here are just a few: ~ Shielding my eyes during Grease when the boys mooned the audience and she deemed me too young to "bare" witness ~ Listening to my endless hours of dribble and always knowing the right words to say ~ Being my example of strength, whether in her person or in her relationship with God/marriage, she knows who she is Sharon is someone that I have always looked up to and for these reasons and countless more, she is the perfect choice!
Robin Anderson
Best Man
I've heard over the years that a man can judge his life based on the quality of his friends. If that's the case, then I consider myself blessed and especially lucky to have Robin in my life. We have been friends since we met in the fall of 1988 at Longwood College. He was then, and continues to be a friend that I can talk to about anything. Since I moved to the Richmond area 17 years ago we have been inseparable. From riding to basketball and beers afterwards, to golf, Tar Heel games, and having our kids grow up together; we have packed in a lot of good times during this stretch. Unfortunately, we have experienced some difficult times too and Robin has always been there by my side. All that being said, I wouldn't be here today, about to marry the love of my life without Robin.
