Can I bring a guest?

Answer

If your guest's name is listed on your invite and when you RSVP, then yes! Otherwise, we cannot accommodate additional guests due to limited capacity.

Are kids welcome?

Answer

With the exception of the wedding party, we have decided to make our wedding an adults-only occasion. We hope this advanced warning means you will still be able to share our big day with us!

What will the weather be like in Boone for the wedding?

Answer

Fall in Boone is breathtaking. The average maximum daytime temperature in October averages 70.°F, while evenings cool down to an average of 45°F. Rainfall is less common, making October a great time to visit. Weather permitting, our ceremony and cocktail hour will be held outside so please be prepared with a light jacket or wrap. We will then move indoors for dinner and dancing.

Is there a dress code?

Answer

We want everyone to look and feel great while dressing to enjoy our festivities. With that in mind, our attire will be semi-formal or Jacket & Tie. For men, this indicates that it is preferable to wear a sports jacket, suit jacket or even a smart blazer and chinos with or without a tie. Women should wear a dress that is shorter than floor-length, a pantsuit, or dressy separates. Boots are never out of place in the mountains. No jeans, please. Please remember that this will be an October wedding. Our wedding colors will include all the beautiful, rich fall hues such as terra cotta, burnt orange, and burgundy. Feel free to dress within our palette.

Are the wedding and reception at the same place?

Answer

All our festivities will take place at our beautiful venue, The White Crow in Banner Elk, NC. Weather permitting, our ceremony and cocktail hour will be held outdoors. We will be hosting our dinner and dancing inside their beautiful barn.

Is there parking for the ceremony and reception?

Answer

The White Crow will have free parking for our guests. But parking is limited and we do encourage guests to carpool. Alternate parking will be just down the hill with shuttle service in between. Uber and Lyft services are rare in the mountains. Please plan to drink wisely and have a designated driver available.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Our wedding will begin promptly at 4:00 pm. We ask that everyone arrive by 3:44 so you can park and be seated for the start of the wedding.

Will photos or video be allowed during the ceremony?

Answer

We are having an unplugged ceremony. We want everyone to be fully present to share this special moment with us. We ask that everyone keep their phones silenced for the duration of the ceremony. There will be many opportunities later to share photos. We will have a shared photo album that will allow all our guests to contribute their best photos of the night so we can all enjoy them in the future. A link to this album will be available at every table.

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Our wedding will have specialty drinks as well as a beer truck. It will also be heavily photographed so any shenanigans will be immortalized forever!

What if I have specific dietary requirements or allergies?

Answer

Our online RSVP system will allow you to notate specific dietary allergies, requirements, or restrictions. We are planning on having options to accommodate most dietary needs.

What if I don't RSVP on time?

Answer

If we do not receive your RSVP back by our deadline, we will mark your reply as NO. While we would love to have you with us, we do have to provide final numbers to our vendors in a timely manner. We hope you understand.

Our wedding registry is open and available. We are registered at several different stores.
