Shuttle

A shuttle will be running to and from the park, prior to the wedding ceremony and after the reception. The times will be announced closer to our wedding date. Two stops will be offered, at the Holiday Inn New London and the Mystic Marriott Hotel & Spa. Please arrange travel from where you are staying to one of these two sites.
Travel Note
We have reserved hotel blocks at a discounted rate at the Mystic Marriott Hotel & Spa and the Holiday Inn New London. Both of these Hotels are very close to the venue location and a shuttle to and from our wedding location will be available. If you are interested in reserving a hotel room, please use the links below! The prices between the two hotels are similar.
Hotel
The Mystic Marriott Hotel & Spa is just a short drive from downtown Mystic, with its renowned aquarium and the Mystic Seaport Museum. Equally close are Groton’s submarine-themed attractions, including the historic USS Nautilus, and sandy stretches along the Connecticut shoreline, such as Esker Point Beach and Ocean Beach Park. We have reserved a block of rooms that applies to both Saturday and Sunday night (with the same prices honored for Friday and Monday night in case you'd like to make it a long weekend). Our wedding shuttle will pick-up and drop-off to this location. To book your room, please use the link button below. Hotel
The Holiday Inn-New London is located in downtown New London and only 2 blocks from the Amtrak Train Station. We have reserved a block of rooms that applies to both Saturday and Sunday night. Our wedding shuttle will pick-up and drop-off to this location. Please be ready for the shuttle pick-up to take you to the ceremony! You must book a room by June 2025 in order to receive the block rate! Additionally, there are several other hotels within walking distance from the Holiday Inn that you can reserve and hop on this shuttle stop.
House Or Rental

Travel Note
The train network on the East Coast is the finest in the USA. There are different train options, to include local and regional. Amtrak is regional, has faster routes and nicer trains but you HAVE to book tickets in advance to get the best price. They will be very affordable when booking early but can get very pricey when booked the week of travel. Local trains such as the MTA (Metro-North Railroad) have set prices and do not increase closer to the travel date. CTRail is a rail line that takes you right into New London and is located 2 blocks walking distance to the Holiday Inn New London.
Train
From NYC you can take these two options: 1. Regional trains: Using the MTA from Grand Central Station to New Haven and changing to the CTRail or Northeast Regional train line that gets you to New London. Tickets will be the same price no matter when you book. 2. Amtrak trains: Pennsylvania (Penn) Station (Amtrak's Moynihan Train Hall abbrev. NYP) to New London taking a direct train. Train ticket prices will increase closer to the date. Book as early as possible.
Train
You can take the Amtrak Northeast Regional train that travels during the day, so there are good departure times from all cities on the route. Ticket prices depend on how far in advance you buy your tickets. For the best deals, purchase at least two months in advance. Trains run between Boston and New London.
Flight
For USA locals, there are plenty of airport choices that include New Haven (HVN) (Aveloair.com, Flybreeze.com), New York (JFK, LGA, EWR), Boston (BOS), Hartford (BDL), White Plains (HPN), and Providence (PVD). NOTE: Starting in May 2025 you will need a Real-ID if you choose to travel with your driving license instead of your passport.
Travel Note
This section will help you navigate the your journey into the states! If you have ANY question, please don't hesitate to reach out to us. Caro has entered the US many times with travel and work visas. Before you arrive: -Complete your travel visa ESTA paperwork: https://esta.cbp.dhs.gov/ (You can change the language with the selection on the TOP RIGHT of the website). It will ask for the address of your travels, this will be the first address you will stay at during your visit in the US. -Print ESTA. -Ensure passport is valid for 6 months AFTER return date. - If your phone is compatible with an e-sim, we recommend getting a data plan (for navigation, calls etc). We have had good experiences using Airalo. Free WiFi is common at most restaurants, cafes and hotels in the USA. When you arrive: -Have your ESTA ready to present to customs. -Have your passport out, they will likely ask you where you are traveling to. This will be New London CT and your hotel name or the first stop on your travels. Make sure you know the date of your return flight.
Flight
From Germany: - Best direct flights are from Frankfurt to JFK (Condor, Lufthansa, Singapore Airlines...) or from Berlin to JFK (Norse Airline is very cheap! Worth the train ride to Berlin). - There are many options for connecting flights. Routes that we have tried are Duesseldorf - London - JFK and Duesseldorf - Dublin - Hartford (AerLingus). From the UK: - Best direct flights are from Manchester or London to JFK (Virgin Atlantics, Delta...) or Manchester to Boston (Virgin Atlantic...). Another option is London to JFK with Norse Airlines (again very cheap and even worth paying slightly more for a business class seat). - We found a really nice route from Manchester/any UK airport to Dublin to Hartford with Aer Lingus. The US hub for Aer Lingus is located in Hartford, CT, so they offer a direct flight to Dublin. The Hartford airport is much smaller than NYC airports, easier to navigate, and less crowded. Downside, you will have to get a rental car from the Hartford Airport because there is no good train connection.
